AI Strategy and Advisory
An AI strategy that treats growth and risk together
Rhentech gives chief executives and managing directors in London a clear AI strategy: where AI will grow the business, what risk it brings, and the order in which to act. Most engagements begin with a half-day or one-day executive briefing and continue through Turnkey AI, our loop from discovery to managed delivery and review.

- Growth and risk togetherEvery recommendation weighs commercial return against client, data and regulatory risk.
- Strategy to deliveryThe same team can implement, manage and review what it recommends.
- Senior-ledYou work with a senior consultant, from briefing to board paper.
What does an AI strategy engagement include?
Seven components. Most firms start with the briefing and choose the rest from there.
- 01
Executive AI briefing
A half-day or one-day session for the chief executive and leadership team: what AI can and cannot do for a firm like yours today, where competitors are using it, and the risks that need a decision. You leave with a shared position, not a reading list.
- 02
Opportunity and risk assessment
We review where AI could add revenue, capacity or quality across your operations, and where it adds risk to clients, data or reputation. Growth and risk are assessed together, because each shapes the other.
- 03
Build, buy or wait decisions
For each opportunity we set out whether to use AI already in your software, buy a specialist tool, build something bespoke, or wait. The answer is sometimes to wait, and we will say so.
- 04
Vendor and model selection
We assess AI vendors and models against your data, contracts and capability needs, including where data is processed, whether prompts are used for training, and how you would exit.
- 05
AI roadmap with named outcomes
A sequenced plan covering the next twelve to twenty-four months, with owners, milestones and the outcome each step should deliver. Governance and security are built into the plan, not added afterwards.
- 06
Business case and value tracking
Each initiative has a business case and a measure agreed at the start, and we report against it. AI that does not earn its place is stopped or changed.
- 07
Ongoing advisory retainer
A monthly advisory relationship that keeps the strategy current as models, prices and regulation move, with quarterly reporting to the board. It can be combined with AI governance and Rhentech managed IT.
How does Turnkey AI work?
Seven stages in a repeating loop: discovery, analysis, workshop, strategy, implementation, management and review.
-
Understand the business
Interviews with leadership and key teams, a review of current AI use, data and systems, and an analysis of where value and risk sit.
-
Agree the direction
An executive workshop to settle priorities and risk appetite, followed by a written strategy and roadmap the board can approve.
-
Deliver and refine
We deliver the first initiatives, manage what is live, and review results each quarter. Then the loop begins again with better evidence.
What do chief executives ask about AI strategy?
Not answered here? Ask it on the call.
What is Turnkey AI?
Turnkey AI is the Rhentech engagement model for AI: a repeating loop of discovery, analysis, workshop, strategy, implementation, management and review, run by one accountable team. Each pass through the loop builds on the evidence from the last. You can enter at the briefing, at a single project, or at ongoing management.
What happens in an executive AI briefing?
In a half-day or one-day session, a senior consultant takes your leadership team through what AI can realistically do for a firm like yours, how peers are using it, and the risks that need a decision. It ends with agreed priorities and a short list of next steps.
Why frame AI growth and risk together?
Because they are the same decision. The Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2025/2026 (DSIT, April 2026) found that only 24% of UK businesses using or considering AI had cyber security practices to manage AI risk. A strategy that ignores risk stalls at the first client question, and one that ignores growth never gets funded.
Do we need an AI strategy if we are a small firm?
You need a position, even if it is short. Staff are already using AI tools, clients are asking how you control them, and competitors are using AI to respond faster. A briefing and a one-page roadmap are often enough to start.
How is an AI strategy engagement priced?
The briefing or workshop is a defined session, implementation is scoped as projects with milestones, and ongoing advice, governance and optimisation run as a monthly retainer. Fees are agreed in writing before work starts.
